Bro. Rick was called as pastor of DBC in July 1999 after 5 years of full-time evangelism with his family. He is a graduate of Troy State University and attended Beeson Divinity School. He is a native of Tifton, Georgia and has served numerous churches in Alabama in various ministerial roles.  He is married to Melanie and they have three children; Amy Hibbs, Heather Spence, and Michael.

 

Bro. Tommy was called as Worship Pastor to Dalraida in September of 2014.  He is a native of Alabama who is returning home after serving in Georgia and Mississippi in various ministerial roles.  He attended the University of Montevallo majoring in Vocal Performance and Music Theater.  He also attended Reinhardt University studing Church Music as well as Liberty University studying religion.  He is married to Melissa, who is an accomplished pianist and artist and they are the proud parents of Forrest.  He also has the distinction of being an Alabama fan.

Heather Spence  
 Minister to Children

 

 Heather was called as Minister to Children of Dalraida Baptist in April 2013.  She attended of the University of Mobile and has a Major in Early Childhood and Elementry Education.  She has served with the Montgomery Baptist Assocaition, as Project Hope Alabama Baptist Missionary, Dalraida Baptist Church Interim Children's Minister in 2004, Moffett Road Baptist Child Development Director 2004-2006 and Cottage Hill Baptist Church, Mobile; Ministry Assistant to Youth Ministers 2006-2007.  Heather  is married to Patrick Spence and they have two sons; Evan and Tristan.

Marlene is a native of Opelousas, Louisiana. She has two sons, Dustin & Aaron, and one grand daughter, Sophie Grace & twin grandsons, Rhett & Ollie.   The Hooks' family moved to Montgomery in 1991.She was a Kindergarten teacher for fifteen years prior to coming to DBC in August 2008.
